SO COZY- HUSH Sensitive... New Children's Hair Product Launch

Hi All,

It's Hope, TheBlessedMomOf3 and I am back with some wonderful news! I have partnered with the brand So Cozy and am excited to share their recent children's hair product launch.  This launch showcases a new collection specifically designed for children with a sensitive scalp. Yes, that's right, a hair product collection that will simplify your child's hair maintenance routine and nourish their hair in the process.

If you're in the market for children's hair products that are safe, gentle, nourishing and PERFECT for your little one's sensitive scalp, the HUSH line is just for you! I am super excited to share my honest review with you so let's begin with the 4 products that make this collection special...

HUSH
Sensitive 2in1 Soothing Shampoo + Conditioner
$14.50 6.7 fl oz
DERMATOLOGIST TESTED

This 2 in 1 Shampoo plus Conditioner  comes with a soft brush attachment that gently massages your scalp during the application of the product. This brush worked great for massaging my daughter's scalp while lifting away dead skin and product build up.  Jaida, my little one, always complains of having an itchy scalp while becoming frustrated with irritation in sensitive spots surrounding the crown of her head. She also suffers from eczema so I've had to give her scalp a little extra TLC in times past. She absolutely LOVED this product and the application was a breeze. She was so relaxed while I applied this to her scalp and hair and did not want this to end.  The Sensitive 2 in 1 left her scalp nicely cleansed, irritant free and prepped for step 2, the Sensitive Scalp Serum.

Pro's- easy application, LOVED the massaging brush, a little goes a long way, great price, very moisturizing, detangles the hair, penetrates the hair

Con's- NONE

*Fragrance Free, Contains NO parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene, glycol, gluten, wheat or nuts*

Hush
Sensitive Scalp Serum Balancing Treatment
$14.50
DERMATOLOGIST TESTED

This Sensitive Scalp Serum is designed to reduce scalp irritation by providing moisture without the build up.  I really wanted to see if this non greasy serum helped to replenish and nourish Jaida's scalp while encouraging ultimate health. It comes packaged in a petite 4oz sized bottle with a concentrated spray nozzle that allows you to apply the product directly to the scalp. It is a non-greasy leave-in serum that can be reapplied to irritated areas as often as needed.  Jaida really liked how the serum immediately relieved her of an itchy scalp.  She had no dryness or irritation which we were pleased to see. Her scalp was moisturized and she enjoyed a wonderful fruity fragrance that left her hair smelling great. We give this product two thumbs up.

Pro's- relieved her itchy scalp, non greasy, mess proof, easy to apply, chemically safe, nourishing
Con's- would like more product for the cost

*Fruity Fragrance, Contains NO parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene glycol, gluten, wheat or       nuts*

Hush
Sensitive Detangler Ultra-Gentle Leave-In
$12.50 8 fl oz
DERMATOLOGIST TESTED

This Sensitive Detangler worked like a charm! It is a gentle leave-in spray that comes in an 8oz bottle with a spray nozzle for easy application. It soothes and maintains scalp balance while allowing you to detangle the hair. We found this product to be quite nourishing as it left her hair moisturized with soft bouncy curls. After spritzing this product all over her hair, I sectioned her hair and lightly detangled with my fingers, followed with a wide tooth comb. This is the technique that works best for her hair. She had little to no shed hair and detangling her hair was a breeze!

Pro's- easy to use spray nozzle, a lot of product for the price, affordable, a little goes a long way, smells great, left her hair moisturized, no stripping, no build up or residue

Con's- NONE

*Fruity Fragrance, Contains NO parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene glycol, gluten, wheat or nuts*

Hush
Sensitive Styling Foam - Natural Hold
$12.50 6 fl oz
DERMATOLOGIST TESTED

This Sensitive Styling Foam

The last and final step is the sensitive styling foam. The styling foam comes in a 6 oz bottle with the same wonderful scent as the serum and detangler.  My daughter said it smelled like fruit loops! She couldn’t stop smelling it because it smelled so good.  The foam is a light weight mousse that provides a natural hold without build up.  Although it left her hair very soft and manageable without a sticky residue, it didn’t work as well as a final styler for her hair texture.  Her hair was a little frizzy and not as defined.  Now, I must add that the product never promised to define her curls so that was not my expectation.  I simply wanted to test the product to see how it worked for her hair. We typically use some sort of holding gel or a hair butter (such as shea butter) as a final styler for her hair. This was definitely something new for us. I feel that this product works great for less defined, care free hair styles.

Pro's- light weight, no build up, great fragrance, left her hair soft and manageable
Con's- not very moisturizing, left her hair a bit frizzy, a bit pricey for the amount of product

*Fruity Fragrance, Contains NO parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene glycol, gluten, wheat or nuts*

PERFECT Buttermilk Pancake Recipe

Soooo, I gave these delicious buttermilk pancakes a try this morning (with some personal tweaks to the recipe) and they were a HIT!!!!  Soooo good, super fluffy and nice & thick! The kids licked their plates and begged for more tomorrow but with added chocolate chips :-) Here's the recipe... feel free to add your own touches to make this recipe complete!

PERFECT Buttermilk Pancake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup melted butter or cooking oil
  • butter for griddle or skillet
Instructions
  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Whisk together buttermilk, egg, and melted butter or cooking oil in a 2-cup measuring cup. Pour buttermilk mixture slowly into the flour mixture, stirring to combine as you pour. Allow to rest for about 3 minutes.
  2. Heat griddle or skillet over medium-low heat. Add butter to griddle or skillet to make sure well coated. Scoop pancake batter onto prepared griddle or skillet by about ⅓ cup. Allow to cook until the edges of the pancake have lost their sheen and bubbles have formed in the center of the top of the pancake, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancake and allow to cook about 2-3 minutes on the other side. Remove from griddle or skillet and serve warm or place on a rimmed sheet pan in a 200º F oven to keep warm for serving.
  3. Add a fruit topping, whipped cream OR just good ole maple syrup with a dab of butter.... enjoy!
