Inspiration

I am a daughter of a Pastor and I have been raised in a christian household from birth.  I am a born again christian currently serving in the drama ministry (Captured) at my church, New Birth-Charlotte under my Senior Pastor Bishop Terrell Murphy.  Bishop Murphy is such a powerful man of God who speaks life, encouragement, motivation and destiny every Sunday :).  This page will consist of notes/scriptures from his messages as well as notes, words, scriptures and anything inspirational that God speaks to me.

Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 Bishop Murphy spoke from 1 Samuel 1:1-11 (read the entire chapter)

Radical Faith was the main topic.  He preached about the radical faith Hannah had in God even though she was barren for so many years.  She trusted God with all her heart and believed that he would bless her to one day conceive a child.... and we all know that she did.  Bishop gave several definitions/examples of Radical Faith but the one that stuck with me was this "Radical Faith means worshipping God until HE releases you to ask for something!"   It also means "believing God can do the impossible no matter what the the circumstances look like!"  That is sooo powerful!  He went on to say that there is a time in life when we should stop asking God for our wants and serve/worship God until he tells you what you should be asking for.  We need to put self and our own desires away, slow down and listen to the voice of God.  If we don't hear him speak then we should continue to worship.

I trust that God knows my every need and that he will meet and exceed them if i fully trust him to do so.  This is what i'm striving for this year... Radical Faith!  I know that it will be a process but in order for me to get to this point i need to establish a more intimate relationship with christ.  Bishop said that we need to move ourselves from where we are and get to where God wants us to be! I'm ready to face the world with God's perspective, his mind and his attitude!
